Everactive Integrates Batteryless Sensor Data into Leading Industrial Systems

RESTful API easily bridges data to existing EAM, CMMS, ERP systems

Written to the Open API 3.0 spec, the Everactive API consists of two modules: a RESTful API for querying and updating data, and web hooks for consuming events related to factory equipment.  All Steam Trap Monitoring (STM) and Machine Health Monitoring (MHM) endpoint data is available through the API.

Through Everactive’s STM and MHM systems, batteryless sensors continuously collect and send data to an Everactive web interface where customers can interact with the data. Until now, a pain point for customers was that the data was separated from other factory data such as flow metering or work order systems, for example. By using the Everactive API to integrate this data into the desired EAM, ERP or CMMS, facility operations managers can review and analyze data in one location.

Tom serves as the Application Engineering Manager for Everactive’s Machine Health Monitoring (MHM) solution.  Tom holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Villanova University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of California.  Prior to joining Everactive, Tom held Engineering, Maintenance and Operations Management positions in a variety of industries including BioPharma, Oil and Gas, as well as Food and Beverage.

Tom has long understood the benefits that real time vibration monitoring brings in terms of uptime and reduced cost, but like many others was not able to widely implement due to it’s cost, complexity and ongoing maintenance requirements. All that changed once Tom experienced Everactive’s wireless batteryless monitoring solution.

Bob Nunn is CEO of battery-free startup Everactive, a deep tech company that self-powers IoT devices. They have pioneered ultra-low-power circuits, and we talked a lot about the company’s history, evolution and current status on the show. Have you ever realized how big of a market industrial steam trap monitoring is?!?

Bob considers Everactive the biggest opportunity of his career, by far, as this market grows exponentially in the coming years. Bob calls himself a “trust-first” manager and we talked about that philosophy, as it has helped his team to thrive during the pandemic, even as they’ve had to go remote, like many other companies. Bob shared his operating principles as a 30 year executive, as well as the qualities he looks for in other company leaders.
